I must find God

I must find God, though He isn’t lost, I am.
I must find God for I have wandered off far away, on a lonely, lonely road.

Many days, many nights I longed for a better way, a better life

My body in pain, from sickness and weakness
The burden, the care as grown like a tree now it is too much to bear
I must find God, for though the medical report says I am sick, his truth says I am healed. I am whole.

I must find God, for in my heart I find it too difficult to forgive and so into the past I continue to live.
Today I must find God for as often as I forgive, I am forgiven and as often as I pray this prayer: Lord Help! Then I am healed.

Healed of my broken heart and hurt
Healed of my disappointments, my resentments
Lord I yearn to live in peace and contentment

Like water needs rain and the fire needs the flame
My heart and soul needs God

My mind so confused
So many choices, not sure which one to choose
I must find God, for he has promised to direct my path, for if I but trust his gentle hands, He’ll guide my heart.

In times of solitude and quiet meditation, when his voice is the only voice I hear…….…I must find God
In prayer, ridding my heart of all iniquity, my voice will God hear

In fasting and self sacrifice, my obedience is the greatest sacrifice……..…I must find God

In worship, I must yield to the precious Holy Spirit total control……….then I must find God

Today, tonight, right here, right now, this very hour, Oh my soul find God
I must find God. Not another minute without surrendering, Oh my soul find God.
I must reach that place he waits patiently for me to be. I must get there. I must find God.

Called to Love

I have been treated badly in recent times by persons who really should be the 'keepers of my soul' and people who claim that they 'love' me. On more than one occasion I was tempted to reciprocate the treatment. It takes great strength to love and restrain oneself, especially when you know you are not deserving of the ill treatment. The bible reminds us that we ought to ,"...Love our enemies, bless them that curse us, do good to them that hate us, and pray for them which despitefully use us and persecute us;" -St. Matt. 5:44 God expects that even when others are 'deserving' of our bad treatment and have fully earned the right to be 'hated', that we will love them and love them without discrimination. Think about it, it is so difficult to even forgive and love those we call friends whenever they hurt us, more so an enemy. 31 Days of Prayers for Children: Day 11

DAY 11  (I am stressed out) Jesus, it's almost frightening to hear a little ten-year-old girl crying just how much she is stressed out. Deliver our children from their emotional and mental stresses and give them the strength and stamina to grow from each difficult.  The Child's Prayer:  I refuse to be stressed and I embrace my blessing today. Amen. Notes to Parents:   Don't underestimate the fact that your child could be a carrier of stress.  In times of adversity and turmoil, stress evokes strong emotions and causes uncertainty in all of us. As parents, we are in the best position to help our children.
