Father, we cast all our cares upon you for you genuinely care and watch over us. We are casting the health problems of our children before you at this time:


CHILD HEALTH PROBLEMS
Infant and Child Mortality
Children Without Health Care Coverage
Pediatric and Adolescent AIDS
Mental Health Problems of Children

The Child's Prayer: 

Dear God, these issues with children health are of concern You. Please help!

Notes to Parents: 
We remember all the various health issues affecting the children of the world. Can you think of any other? Use it as additional prayer points for your prayer time.

Called to Love

I have been treated badly in recent times by persons who really should be the 'keepers of my soul' and people who claim that they 'love' me. On more than one occasion I was tempted to reciprocate the treatment. It takes great strength to love and restrain oneself, especially when you know you are not deserving of the ill treatment. The bible reminds us that we ought to ,"...Love our enemies, bless them that curse us, do good to them that hate us, and pray for them which despitefully use us and persecute us;" -St. Matt. 5:44 God expects that even when others are 'deserving' of our bad treatment and have fully earned the right to be 'hated', that we will love them and love them without discrimination. Think about it, it is so difficult to even forgive and love those we call friends whenever they hurt us, more so an enemy. 31 Days of Prayers for Children: Day 11

DAY 11  (I am stressed out) Jesus, it's almost frightening to hear a little ten-year-old girl crying just how much she is stressed out. Deliver our children from their emotional and mental stresses and give them the strength and stamina to grow from each difficult.  The Child's Prayer:  I refuse to be stressed and I embrace my blessing today. Amen. Notes to Parents:   Don't underestimate the fact that your child could be a carrier of stress.  In times of adversity and turmoil, stress evokes strong emotions and causes uncertainty in all of us. As parents, we are in the best position to help our children. Here are five things we can do:   Supervise their tv time or use of the media and devices   Plan times away from devices where they can be creative and be engaged in outdoor activities   Listen whenever they want to speak.  Some children will want to talk about difficult situations and some won’t.
