31 Days of Prayers for Children: Day 18

DAY 18 (Activating Your Child's Potential)
Dear Jesus, I pray for my personal potential and the potential of my child/all my children today. 
We pray for the activation of every dormant ability, every untapped power, all our hidden strength, our reserved energy, unused successes, unleashed talents, all we can do but we haven't done yet, all we can be but we have not yet become. Our potential is who we really are but no one knows it yet. So FATHER, help us today to become THAT. Amen

The Child's Prayer: 
MY HEAVENLY FATHER, LORD, help me to really become everything you had in mind when you made me, I am a great big bundle of potentiality. 

Notes to Parents: 
We grew up singing the song: 'I am a promise, I am a possibility, I am a promise with a capital P.' My favourite part of that song was the line that said, 'I am a great BIG bundle of POTENTIALITY'
You want to ensure that you fulfil all that you have the power, authority and might to do. 
We also want nothing less for our children. We want them to dream and live their dreams to the fullest. Protect your child's dreams, its important. Protect your dreams, they are important. The number eighteen is integral to discipline and order, its important that our children possess their possession. On this 18th day, call forth all your possession just in case what is yours is somewhere else with someone else.

Called to Love

I have been treated badly in recent times by persons who really should be the 'keepers of my soul' and people who claim that they 'love' me. On more than one occasion I was tempted to reciprocate the treatment. It takes great strength to love and restrain oneself, especially when you know you are not deserving of the ill treatment. The bible reminds us that we ought to ,"...Love our enemies, bless them that curse us, do good to them that hate us, and pray for them which despitefully use us and persecute us;" -St. Matt. 5:44 God expects that even when others are 'deserving' of our bad treatment and have fully earned the right to be 'hated', that we will love them and love them without discrimination. Think about it, it is so difficult to even forgive and love those we call friends whenever they hurt us, more so an enemy. 31 Days of Prayers for Children: Day 11

DAY 11  (I am stressed out) Jesus, it's almost frightening to hear a little ten-year-old girl crying just how much she is stressed out. Deliver our children from their emotional and mental stresses and give them the strength and stamina to grow from each difficult.  The Child's Prayer:  I refuse to be stressed and I embrace my blessing today. Amen. Notes to Parents:   Don't underestimate the fact that your child could be a carrier of stress.  In times of adversity and turmoil, stress evokes strong emotions and causes uncertainty in all of us. As parents, we are in the best position to help our children. Here are five things we can do:   Supervise their tv time or use of the media and devices   Plan times away from devices where they can be creative and be engaged in outdoor activities   Listen whenever they want to speak.  Some children will want to talk about difficult situations and some won’t.
